Dr. Rana (she/her) is a Staff Psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Hospital on their Adult Consultation Liaison Psychiatry team, providing care for adults admitted to their medical, surgical and women’s and infants units. She also supervises residents and medical students completing their core rotations in medical psychiatry.
Dr. Rana completed an MD at McMaster University, followed by a psychiatry residency at the University of Toronto. Her research and clinical interests include the evolution of diagnostic approaches to psychiatry, how patients adapt to illness, and the psychosocial meaning of medical illness.
