Books and Journals:
In addition to our research and educational scholarship, Division of Psychotherapy, Humanities, and Psychosocial Interventions faculty have published books and journals on narrative medicine, psychotherapy, trauma, and innovative models of teaching and evaluation.
Artists-in-Residence:
There are three artists-in-residence at, including a poet-in-residence (Mt. Sinai Hospital), illustrator-in-residence (Undergraduate Medical Education), and an editorial fellow (Massey College).
Psychiatry residents, with the support of the Health Humanities Program, are also curating a new medical student humanities and creative interface blog called ArtBeat .
Toronto-Addis Ababa Psychiatry Program (TAAPP):
Dr. Clare Pain is a founding co-director of the award winning international Toronto-Addis Ababa Psychiatry Program (TAAPP) and codirector of the Toronto-Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration (TAAAC) with Dr. Dawit Wondimagegn, VP of Addis Ababa University and Dr. Brian Hodges, VP Education at University Health Network. TAAAC has 20 partnerships in multiple faculties at University of Toronto including psychiatry, emergency medicine, nursing, pharmacy, engineering, library science and occupational health. Through these educational partnerships, faculty from the University of Toronto travel to Addis Ababa University to teach for one month three times a year.
