Ali Shahrami
I completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology in 1995 at Iran Medical University, Tehran Institute of Psychiatry. Currently I am pursuing my Doctor of Psychology at the California Southern University. I am also a registered Clinical Psychologist with College of Psychologists of Ontario and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). I have held various clinical and academic positions in both private and public settings over more than 22 years such as clinical psychologist, research faculty and head of a research department at Research Institute of Exceptional Children in Iran from 1995 to 2001. I served as a clinical coordinator/supervisor at McMaster Children’s Hospital, ASD program for about 10 years where I also supervised Masters level students’ practicum in applied behaviour analysis. I joined the Centre for Addition and Mental Health in 2014 as an Advance Practice Clinical Leader in the Adult Neurodevelopmental Services.
Research Synopsis
My research interests relate to the assessment and treatment of psychiatric and behavioural disorders in individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder
