Biruntha Sritharan

Dr. Biruntha Sritharan is a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and a Child and Adolescent psychiatrist at the Hospital for Sick Children and Ontario Shores Health Sciences Centre since August 2023. She is also part of the Sinai Family Health team in the Department of Family Medicine.
Dr. Sritharan has completed her Masters in Developmental Psychology and Special education at University of Toronto. She later pursued and completed her Doctorate in Medicine at Saba University of Medicine in 2017. She returned to University of Toronto to complete her General and Child and adolescent Post Graduate Psychiatry Residency.
Dr. Sritharan has a very keen interest in working with patients with complex needs. Her interests include children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorder and complex needs. Dr. Sritharan has special interest in educational curriculum development and enhancing and contributing to the Child and Adolescent program at the University of Toronto.
