Carla Garcia
Dr. Garcia served as the course chair for Communication Skills in Transition to Residency, part of the Integration and Transition course at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. Prior to that, Dr. Garcia served as the Psychiatry Clinical Clerkship Director at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. She also served as a member of the executive committee for the medical school accreditation process for Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, including chairing the Accreditation Sub Committee for Institutional Standards.
Dr. Garcia co-chairs the “P. Chandarana Review Course” – an international course for senior residents in psychiatry and eligible candidates as a preparatory review for the Royal College examination. She also developed the “Communication Skills in Transition to Residency” for Meds IV students, as part of the Integration and Transition curriculum at Schulich. Prior to that, she served as the Director for the Psychiatry component of the Patient Centered Clinical Methods course, which was delivered as part of the MEDS II curriculum.
