Carole Cohen

Dr. Cohen is the Clinical Director of the Psychiatric Services for the Elderly at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She is the Director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Cohen’s clinical and academic work focuses on the diagnosis and management of individuals with dementia in the community and issues relevant to their family and professional caregivers. She is a consultant to the Capacity Assessment Office of the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario and a frequent lecturer on consent and capacity issues. Dr. Cohen teaches and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Medicine and has won multiple teaching awards.
