Daniel Gorman
Dr. Gorman is the Director of Postgraduate Education in the Division of Child and Youth Mental Health, and a Staff Psychiatrist at The Hospital for Sick Children. His clinical and academic interests include Tourette syndrome, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, child psychopharmacology, and psychiatric education. He is highly involved in resident teaching and clinical supervision, and is the founding Director of the Advanced Child Psychopharmacology course.
Research Synopsis
Dr. Gorman has authored or co-authored over 25 articles and book chapters, mainly related to childhood neuropsychiatric disorders and their pharmacological management. He has also contributed to Canadian guidelines on pharmacotherapy for childhood disruptive and aggressive behaviour, management of tic disorders, and cardiac risk assessment before the use of stimulants. From 2011 to 2014, he was the Chair of the Research and Scientific Program Committee of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
