Dr. Murrell received her PhD in Organic Chemistry and Molecular Imaging from The University of Western Ontario in 2019. Her PhD research involved the development and discovery of peptide-based imaging agents (PET, SPECT, & optical) for GPCR targets in oncology. After completing her PhD, she trained as a postdoctoral fellow at CAMH in 11C- and 18F-radiolabelling of small molecule radiotracers for neuroimaging. She then joined Bristol Myers Squibb as a radiochemist for two years, where she was involved in developing radiotracers for use in preclinical PET imaging for drug discovery in neurosciences. She returned to CAMH in 2023 and is now a Staff Scientist (Radiochemist) at the Azrieli Centre for Neuro-Radiochemistry and the Brain Health Imaging Centre at CAMH.
