Dr Gaurav Mehta is currently working as the Medical Director Psychiatry at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Ontario. He has a keen interest in Addiction Medicine, ECT and Diabetes. He is also the Clinical Director for Assertive Community Treatment Team and the Clinical Lead for ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy). He is co –chair for Diabetes Educator Section, Mental Health, Special Interest Group, Canadian Diabetes Association. He is on the board of directors for AGHPS.
Dr Mehta also has Certifications in the following areas; Crisis Negation and its Application to Mental Disorders, Understanding Stalking and Domestic Violence and Enhancing Skills in Clinical Case Formulation. He holds an appointment as adjunct lecturer in Psychiatry, University of Toronto.
He has presented orally and posters and moderated at various international, national and local platforms and has publications in peer reviewed journals. He has acted as a peer reviewer in reputed international peer reviewed journals. In past, he has served on the Patient Medication Safety Committee and physician member of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Research Ethics Board.
