Research Synopsis

Dr. Crosbie’s research and clinical work are focused on understanding the neurobiological determinants of childhood neuropsychiatric disorders, with a particular focus on attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Four integrated domains of research create the foundation of her research program; 1) Cognition and behavioural phenomenology of ADHD and related disorders in children, youth and their families using cross sectional and longitudinal methods, 2) Understanding the genetic etiology of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, 3) Utilizing general population samples to investigate the relationship of genes and environment on pediatric psychiatric traits, health and cognition., and 4) Development of novel cognitive rehabilitation interventions for neurodevelopmental and brain based disorders.
