Keyghobad Farid Araki
Keyghobad Farid Araki MD, FRCPC, ABAM, FASAM psychiatrist and Addiction specialist in the Medical Withdrawal Service (MWS) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He has been working at CAMH since 2009 in this position. He completed medical school at Tehran Medical School, Iran (1996) and his psychiatry at Iran Medical School, Iran (2005). He then immigrated to Canada and completed a 2 year fellowship in addiction Psychiatry at the University of Toronto (2006-2007) and a one year residency at Queens University in Kingston (2008). Since he started his work in MWS, he has been actively involved in treatment and follow up of clients with addictions and concurrent disorder. His main field of interest is pharmacological approaches in the treatment of addiction and concurrent disorder as well as the neuropathology of addiction.
