Michael Armanyous
MB BCh, MRCPsych, PGDip in CBT
Dr Armanyous completed his Psychiatric Training in the United Kingdom. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London, UK. He worked as a Consultant in Community and Inpatient Psychiatry in Scotland prior to moving to Toronto. He was also the Lead Psychiatrist and Site research investigator for Huntington’s Disease Service in Fife, Scotland. He previously worked in Addiction Psychiatry in the UK and was heavily involved in Mental Health Services development, Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching and education.
Dr Armanyous has a particular interest in Psychotherapy, Trauma and Spirituality. He completed a BABCP Accredited Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at The Royal Holloway University of London UK, in addition to training on other Psychotherapeutic modalities.
He is currently the Lead Psychiatrist for the Integrated Mental Health Care at UHN. He supervises both Psychiatric and Family Physician Residents in addition to Medical Students teaching and mentoring. He also provides CBT supervision for Residents.
