I completed by graduate degree in Medicine from Mysore University in India and pursued my interest in Psychiatry as a resident in NIMHANS, Bangalore. I moved on to government service as a Attending Psychiatrist and then moved to United Kingdom to pursue my interest in Child Psychiatry. I completed the Royal college qualification in psychiatry and gained training in Child Psychiatry and worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Wales and as Tribunal member for mental Health Act and Honorary Lecturer in Cardiff University.

I have worked as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Queen’s University Kingston and continue to teach and complete quality improvement projects and research in my areas of interest, mainly anxiety disorders. I have completed my Fellowship exams in Psychiatry and continue my work with a dedicated team of professionals in Royal Victoria Hospital providing outpatient services and inpatient services in Simcoe and Muskoka.
